INON Lens Base Mounts and Lens Adapters

ADmountIMG9384rgb

INON underwater camera lenses are exceptionally sharp. One reason for this which is not always apparent is the relationship between the INON Lens Mount Base, the INON lens and your underwater camera. INON lenses are carefully calculated to work at their best at a specific distance from the individual cameras own lens. The INON Lens Mount Base not only acts as an attachment point for your lens, it also sets this critical distance correctly.

INON wide- angle lenses can sometimes be fitted to housings that either have a built in M67 filter thread or a built in copy of an INON type bayonet mount. It's very important to check with the housing supplier if there are any restrictions - for example some housings which have a copy of an INON type mount built in can physically accept INON wide- angle lenses, but you may need to zoom in to avoid vignetting (shadows or even parts of the lens appearing in the picture) and this may also impair the quality of your image.

INON offer four types of lens fitting with INON Lens Mount Bases to match. Each is a full system mount allowing use of wide - angle and close up lenses from the INON range. A feature of most INON Lens Mount Bases is a diffuser that helps spread the beam of your built in flash unit. This helps you to evenly light close up underwater photographs. INON Lens Mount Bases secure into your housings tripod socket for safety. Most also push fit over your housings front port for added stability. The four types of INON Lens Mount Base are: M67 Lens Mount Base

M67 accepts 67mm threaded lenses and filters. You can use INON UWL100M67 wide - angle lens and INON UCL165M67 and UCL330M67 lenses with this mount.

INON AD Lens Mount Base

aboutmountbase01

This is a bayonet mount. It was developed for compact underwater cameras that have a built in lens no wider than 35mm. The INON AD Lens Base accepts the INON UWL105AD wide-angle lens, INON UFL165AD fisheye lens and INON UCL165AD close up lens.

INON  Lens Mount Base 28AD

ADmb

This is a bayonet mount. INON developed this to work with cameras with a maximum built in wide-angle lens of 28mm. This mount accepts the INON UWL100-28AD wide - angle lens and the INON UCL165AD close up lens. The UCL165AD requires an inexpensive adapter, which sets the lens at the correct focal point for optimum results.

INON 28LD Lens  Mount Base

This mount is a bayonet. It has been developed for cameras using 28mm wide- angle lenses, faster apertures and larger sensors. It features a locking mechanism to secure the lens in place. It can be used with the UWL - H100 wide- angle lens and, using adapters, INON UCL165 and 330 M67 and INON 165AD close up lenses.

INON Lens Adapters

M67mb

INON Lens Adapter are M67 fit. The difference between an INON Lens Base Mount and an INON Lens Adapter is that Lens Base Mounts accept close up and wide - angle lenses. Lens Adapters are recommended for use with close up lenses only. This means that, after testing, INON consider image quality will be poor if a wide- angle lens is mounted on this model of camera.
