INON Grip Bases

IONGripBaseD4withDHolder

Inon special camera trays, called Grip Bases, let you get a firm grip on your system and can improve handling of your outfit. The Inon trays and grips also provide a mounting point for accessories including your strobe or video light. The Inon trays and grips are built from aluminium, providing strength and durabilty while remaining lightweight. Anodizing protects against corrosion. A rubber handle provides a comfortable and non - slip grip, whether bare handed or using gloves.

Inon Grip Base D3

INONGripBaseD3JPGThe Inon Grip Base D3 provides a very comfortable hand grip on one sid and a mounting point for a strobe, lens holder, arm system or modeling light on the other. The grip can be adjusted relative to your housing to make reaching controls easier regardless of the size of your hand or whether you are using gloves. It can be used left oe=r right handed according to your preference. The other side can accept an Inon lens holder for safely and conveniently storing your Inon lenses until needed. A bolt kit is included for attaching your Inon S-2000, D-2000 or Z- 240 strobe directly to the Inon Grip Base D3 for close up photography. For longer distance strobe photography or wide angle work, an Inon ball joint arm is easily connected. It's also easy to fit the new Inon LE series lights for focusing and lighting your subject for shooting video with your compact camera.

If you want to use two strobes or video lights or a combination, you only need to buy another Inon Grip Base D3. Each D3 comes complete with a twinning kit. The Inon Grip Base D3 is designed to dock with digital compact camera housings that are fitted with an Inon lens base for AD, AD- 28 or AD - M67 lenses or an optional base plate adapter.

Inon Grip Base D4

INONGripBaseD4SetThe new Inon Grip Base D4 includes a handle providing a firm, non-slip grip on your expensive camera outfit. The grip can be adjusted to allow for comfort regardless of the size of your hands or whether you use gloves. You can set the Inon Grip Base D4 for left or right handed use. The D4 comes with a bolt kit allowing you to attach an Inon S-2000, D-2000 or Z- 240 strobe directly to the hand grip for close up shooting. For more advanced and creative photography, an Inon ball joint arm can be easily attached to provide greater lighting flexibility.

For dual flash photography, a second hand grip can easily be added to your Inon Grip Base D4. You can also add an adapter to allow use of Inon AD and M67 lens holders to store your valuable Inon lenses securely until required. For shooting movies with your digital compact, Inon LE lights can be added using adapter sets.

The Inon Grip Base D4 is more versatile than the D3 because it does not assume you will be using an Inon lens base. The tray includes Inon's Slide Plate System. These are inserts that allow the Inon Grip Base D4 to fit directly to the base of nearly all digital compact underwater housings via the tripod socket. These are removed when the Inon Grip Base D4 is used with housings fitted with Inon lens bases. This means the Inon Grip Base D4 is likely to be useable with your present underwater digital compact camera as well as future ones.

A useful accessory for your Grip Base D3 or D4 is a coiled lanyard, available from Ocean Optics. This connects to a D ring on your harness and keeps your camera outfit securely clipped to your body and out of the way until needed. It extends to arms length when you want to start shooting.
